This Training Manual is developed to help you with your flight training to become a

private pilot. All the required training exercises are included and clearly explained in a

colorful, highly visual, concisely written format. We also highly recommend this manual for licensed pilots to refresh and maintain their pilot skills, for currency training, checkout and proficiency checks.

You will learn to fly in a Tecnam P2002JF (ICAO code SIRA). We have 4 Tecnams in our fleet, PH-VHA, PH-VHC, PH-VHD and PH-TCM. All our Tecnams are approved for VFR daytime operations.

Preface

Each aircraft is configured with 2 seats and 1 bagage area.

The Maximum Take-Off Weight (MTOW) is 600 kg. The total weight includes the pilot, passenger, fuel, bagage and the aircraft itself. You must never exceed this weight during flight.

The aircraft is fitted with a ROTAX 912 S2 engine rated at 100 Horse Power at 2388 RPM. The four cylinder engine is normally aspirated, 4 stroke, horizontally-opposed

In all circumstances, the Aircraft Flight Manual (AFM) and Checklist as found in the flight bag are leading.

Even though you are used to fly the Tecnam aircraft, Radio Navigation lessons should be flown on our PH-VHY (Cessna). This is our only aircraft that is equip-ped with all necessary Radio Navigation equipment (like ADF, DME and GNSS).

You should use this Training Manual together with the practical module of our Learning Management System (LMS) “All you need to fly”. In this online

environment you will find the necessary in-depth information and details of flight preparation and execution, such as spreadsheets, calculations, quizes, useful tips and references to various sites. Together with this Training Manual, Checklist, Flight Manual and Supplements (EPUB), this forms a very important knowledge base for your training as a student pilot and as a licensed pilot.
